Welcome to All Seasons Counseling and Spiritual Direction (All Seasons). Thank you for choosing to participate in our workshop. This form provides a summary of our background and answers questions that are frequently asked by clients.
COUNSELING PRACTICE
All Seasons - a ministry of licensed Christian counselors, certified spiritual directors, and care ministers, is committed to providing professional mental health counseling, spiritual guidance and prayer. We serve in compliance with recognized Federal and Washington state regulations and guidelines. All Seasons does not discriminate based on the established Federal classifications.
Our mission is: “to walk with individuals and families, to help them heal emotionally, grow spiritually and attain wholeness as God intended. We provide counseling, spiritual direction, on call care support and formational workshops for individuals, churches and the community.” The counseling staff uses various therapy approaches and methods as appropriate for the individual (s) involved. Christian principles are referred to in discussions as spiritual resources used by individuals. We highly value and respect your personal beliefs.
COUNSELOR EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Chris Cole, MACP, Northwest University, Kirkland. Chris is a licensed counselor and certified supervisor in the state of Washington; she also holds a BS in Dietetics and Food Administration and a MS in Nutrition Science, California State University, Long Beach. Chris specializes in Teen and Women’s issues, relationship, attachment, and grief issues. Chris is the mother of three children: two daughters and one son. She practiced as a personal trainer for 10 years and worked in Christian Education for 12 years prior to becoming a mental health counselor.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Personal information shared in the group meeting will be held in the strictest confidence by All Seasons staff and all participants. It will not be released without your written consent, except for professional consultation, if needed and unless required by law. Under circumstances, counseling records may be subpoenaed. This practice is required by law to disclose information pertaining to suspect of child and/or elder abuse. Threats to endanger oneself or others are required to report to the responsible authorities and may result in a recommendation for confinement and/or treatment. You will be informed in advance before your information is disclosed under these circumstances.
THERAPY PROCESS
Counseling in general aims at various benefits such as processing your thoughts and feelings, addressing distressing issues, increasing your capacity for engaging in intimate relationships, improving your ability to experience life more fully, and so on. Counselors will facilitate you in reviewing your life experiences and identifying new possibilities of understanding them. We respect your rights and responsibility in making your own choices. All Seasons cannot be responsible for a client’s choices that may harm others in any way.
COST: Free
Workshop scheduled for May 25th, 2021 will run for 1 hr. 15 minutes. We will use the Zoom format. Chris Cole, licensed therapist will lead this workshop. Small groups are a part of the design of this workshop. They will be led by All Seasons Board members, Spiritual Directors, Counselors and other experienced Small Group Leaders.
